Questions we get asked

Still stuck? Send us a message and we'll get back to you.

Is Broadway Pickleball indoor or outdoor?

We are an outdoor venue. All 4 courts are open-air on the rooftop of Broadway Sydney, which is exactly what gives you the skyline views. The courts are floodlit, so play carries on after dark — but bring sun protection during the day, and check in with us if the weather looks poor.

Where exactly are the courts?

On the rooftop of the multi-level car park at Broadway Shopping Centre (Level 4), at 1 Bay Street, Glebe NSW 2037 — on the border of Glebe, Ultimo and Chippendale, a short walk from Central Station and the Sydney CBD.

Where do I park, and how do I get in?

If you are driving, park up to Level 3 of the Broadway Shopping Centre car park, then take the lift or stairs up to Level 4, where the courts are. Bathrooms are on Level 3. The venue is unstaffed — when you book, you receive an access code and instructions for entering the courts.

I have never played pickleball before. Can I still come?

Yes, and most of our players started exactly there. Pickleball is the quickest racquet sport to pick up — the court is small, the ball is slow, and nearly everyone is rallying within their first few minutes. Social sessions and beginner coaching are both good places to start.

How many courts are there?

4 dedicated pickleball courts on a cushioned tile surface, with permanent lines.

How much does it cost to hire a court?

Court hire is $30 per hour peak (weekdays 5pm–10pm, weekends 7am–5pm), and $25 per hour off-peak (weekdays 7am–5pm, weekends 5pm–10pm). Courts are booked online through Clubspark. Social sessions, coaching and corporate events are priced separately.

Do I need to be a member to play?

No. Courts are booked online by the hour and anyone can book — there is no membership or joining fee required to play.

What should I bring?

Non-marking court shoes, water and sun protection, since the courts are open-air. If you need a paddle, take a look at the Play Pickle shop — our equipment guide covers what to look for.
